About Me

Since my first work of art in my mom's best lipstick on her favorite bedsheets, my art has come a long way.

For several years my work focused on greetings, children's illustration, commissioned portraits and graphic design work; and in 2018 I began working with nature and wildlife art in small and large scale originals, prints and merchandise.

Through my artwork, centered around people and nature in a mix of representational and abstract, my hope is to give the viewer a visual story to feel, experience and connect to the world through color, line, symbols and textures.

Originally from the midwest, I studied fine art, graphic design and English at Kent State University, spent over 17 years in Boston, MA, and now I live, play and paint in Portland, OR. In addition to abstract and watercolor wildlife paintings, I create greetings, commissioned family illustrations, watercolor and abstract work, write and illustrate children’s books to help kids connect and develop their relationships with the natural world, and teach others how to tune into their artistic side for connection, beauty and mental wellness.
